Muay Thai

Muay Thai, known as the "science of eight limbs"" is the national sport and martial art of Thailand. Utilizing the practitioner’s natural weapons; knees, elbows, kicks, and punches, Muay Thai is known for developing devastating striking and superior physical conditioning. This practical ring sport is also excellent for self-defense. The training itself is a great workout and develops physical and mental conditioning, along with a "never quit" attitude. Training in Muay Thai includes the following elements:

  1. Physical conditioning
  2. Shadow boxing
  3. Heavy bag practice
  4. Thai pad and focus mitt training
  5. Sparring training

Care is taken to teach students proper form and body mechanics to eliminate injuries while training and gain maximum effectiveness. The class places an emphasis on the physical conditioning and cardiovascular benefits of Thai Boxing. Train and push your limits or simply enjoy a class for recreational purposes.
